FiDi is a neighborhood now

For a long time, the Financial District was offices by day, empty by night. That’s changing. The old bank buildings became apartments. Stone Street filled with families on weekends. The harbor edge got promenades and playgrounds. Now FiDi is one of the fastest-growing residential neighborhoods downtown, and we get more delivery orders from here every December than the year before.

We deliver everywhere from City Hall down to the Battery: Stone Street, Wall, Pearl, Water, Front, Greenwich, Washington, and all the new high-rises around the harbor and along the waterfront. The buildings here tend to be tall and modern, with proper freight elevators, organized doorman desks, and views worth decorating around. We’ve delivered to apartments on the 50th floor with windows facing the Statue of Liberty. The tree always looks small next to the view, but it smells like home.

Some of our FiDi customers work blocks from where they live, and they tell us December down here is its own kind of magic. The skyscrapers light up. The harbor freezes at the edges. The streets, which can feel deserted in summer, fill with people going to dinner on Stone Street or skating at the Seaport. A real fir tree in a downtown high-rise is the missing piece.
